THE MUCK

IT SEEMS THESE DAYS EVERYONE WANTS TO TOUCH THE MUCK…. TIME AFTER TIME I USE THE 3 HAND SET OUT BUT IT SEEMS TO NOT MATTER. I WISH I KNEW HOW TO SOLVE THIS…PLEASE RESPOND…

MISSED BIG BLIND

THE TABLE IS 10 HANDED WHEN THIS OCCURS;

SEAT 3 HAS LEFT TO FRESHEN UP,THE DEALER FORGETS THAT THERE IS A PLAYER IN THAT SEAT AND MAKES SEAT 4 THE BIG BLIND

  SEAT1        SEAT 2        SEAT3        SEAT4

   DEALER         SB                              BB

SUBSTANCIAL ACTION HAS TAKEN PLACE AS WE  NOW HAVE  4 CALLERS,SEAT 3 RETURNS AND IT IS DISCOVERED HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN  THE BB,THE HAND IS THEN PLAYED OUT , DUE TO SUBSTANCIAL ACTION HAVING TAKEN PLACE.

CONFUSION THEN OCCURS AS TO WHO POSTS WHAT THE NEXT HAND AND THE WINNER OF THE LAST HAND IS LAYING CLAIM TO THE MISSING BB.

USING CASH GAME RULES THIS IS EASILY SORTED,SEAT 3 WOULD MISS THE NEXT HAND ,THE HAND AFTER HE WOULD POST HIS BB AND SB ,THE SB BEING DEAD MONEY.THE WINNER OF THE POT HAVING NO CLAIM ON THE MISSING BLIND.

HOWEVER USING TOURNAMENT RULES THIS IS NOT QUITE AS CLEAR ,AS SEAT 3 IS ENTITLED TO RECIEVE CARDS IN THE NEXT HAND .CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW YOU WOULD RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

PARTICULARLY WHO POSTS WHAT AND POSITIONING OF THE DEALER BUTTON?

Wrong bets !

Blinds 150-300

Postflop :

A open bet at 300

First situation:

B throws a chip of 500 saying nothing = is it a call at 300 (rule of the lonely big chip) or a raise to adjust at 600 (rule of the 50%) ? (I would say a call!)

Second situation:

B throws 400 saying “400”! = I would say it’s a call to adjust at 300 (under 50%)!

Third situation:

B throws 400 saying “RAISE”! = I would say it’s a raise to adjust at 600!

Fourth situation:

Blind 300-600

Postflop:

A open bet at 600

B throws 2 chips of 500 while saying nothing = is it a call or a raise? Here I’m really lost but I like to apply the same rule here that the lonely chip: it’s a call!

IN FACT I PUT THE WRONG BETS IN 3 CATEGORIES:
a)      Bets with official announce (“call”, “raise” etc…) = we adjust to the bidding announce!
b)      Bets with only the amount = under the minimum we adjust to a call (or open bet) and over the minimum we adjust to the 50% rule (call or raise)!
c)      Bets saying nothing = after a bet (or the BB) it’s a call … but if it’s the first bet ine a round  postflop : the bet is the total amount of the chip(s)!

I know, I know: most of you (TDs) ask for the intention of the player … or should I say the customer! But I need more clear rules for a national championship tournaments here (were the players are not customers) and they could not stand the floor asking to their opponent: “what did you really want to do dear player, call or raise?” … !!!

Your opinion?

TY for helping,

GG
