Hello (the day I send you too much situations … just let me know! lol!),
Here is another balanced table situation:
Last 5 tables of a tournament (so balancing tables when a difference of 2 players)
Previous hand: seat 1 Button - seat 2 SB - seat 3 free - seat 4 BB - seat 5 UTG …
Seat 4 (BB) is eliminated … the only free seats at this table are then seat 3 & seat 4 …
A player arrives to balance …
Well … seat 2 Button (for sure) - seat 3 (the new player but SB or not?) - seat 4 free - seat 5 BB (right?) …
I know: (TDA rule 25: In flop games when balancing tables players will be moved from the big blind to the worst position which is never the small blind) … but why here? Why not make him pay the SB knowing that he just escaped from paying the BB at his previous table and that he will have a full round to wait for the next BB here?

if you are moving 1 player to balance. seat 2= button, seat 3 dead small, seat 4 single big blind.
if a table breaks and players fill in all seats, seat 2 button, seat 3 small blind, seat 4 big blind.

Hello, do you mean in this situation that if I’m moving one player to balance, I should sit this new player at seat 4 on a BB? … OK but the player at seat 5 IS GONNA BE UTG FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT TIME IN A ROW ???

Yes. as i said, if a table were to break, he would be utg twice, it just happens that way some times. he will still pay the big blind next hand.he gets a 1 hand reprieve, just like if you move a player to balance and you pull them from the big blind and the only available place is the cut off, they get a break

If it was me……
If you have to move one player from a table to balance, then you place him in the worst position possible, which IMO in this case is seat 3. You’d have Seat 2 button, Seat 3 BB, Seat 4 empty, Seat 5 UTG.
If you have a table break, IMO players should assume the natural position of the previous action. In your example Seat 4 has busted out in the BB. Therefore, I would have play resume in this manner: Seat 2 Button, Seat 3 (new player from broken table) sit out 1 hand and button passes, Seat 4 assume the natural position of the SB, Seat 5 take the BB as he would’ve normally done had Seat 4 not busted out.
IMO, players coming from a broken table, although able to assume any position at the table except between the button and the SB, should not be penalized unduely simply because there are open seats that would allow them to take both blinds and keep another player at the table from posting his blinds in his natural turn.
