NLH
Blinds 3000/6000, Pre flop
Player moves forward with a stack of chips and begins counting them without saying anything. In the process, someone asks what they are doing. They say raising. They have 10,000 total. Player then reaches back to complete the raise and the player who asked says they cannot do that because it is a string raise. I allowed the raise stating that the player had made forward motion with more than 50% of the minimum raise and was therefore required to complete the raise. Right or wrong?

I personally agree. If 50% of the proper raise was put out in 1 motion, they must complete to the full minimum raise. Great call.
