Another I want to see that hand question

Hi,

Omaha hi-lo. After the river. Player A bets, Player B calls, Player C calls. Showdown: Player A wins high, Player B wins low, Player C folds but his hand isn’t mucked. Player A said that he wanted to see Player C hand but Player B said that he didn’t want to show that hand. How do you rule?

We have such Robert’s rules:

“Any player who has been dealt in may request to see any hand that was eligible to participate in the showdown, even if the opponent’s hand or the winning hand has been mucked.”

and:

“If the winning player asks to see a losing player’s hand, both hands are live, and the best hand wins.”

What about two winners in hi-lo games?

If you ruled to show that hand, what if Player C hand is better than Player B hand, who actually didn’t agree to see that hand?

Waiting for your comments,

Best regards,

HORSE troubles…

this is one the racing post can’t solve!

Our 4th annual society poker series is coming up, and we always schedule in  HORSE game… in our first year, the organisers ere ignorant of the fact that the WSoP played 7stud8 rather than the PLO8 we played. The year later, they were a little wiser, and opted to play the “official” version, and has been played like this to this date. now i am in charge, and having played in the original HORSE (with PLO8) game, i felt it was a far more enjoyable experience, and i wish to revert back to the format. HORSE as it is, i find quite turgid, with it mostly being 7stud format games, but takes on a frsher character with plo8. I’m facing objections from one person in the society (ex chair no less). basically his argument is that it is not right and proper to play the unnofficial version of the game. With this view, i would be also obliged to revert back to holdem on the final table (which will not be happening during my reign). I also think its a pretty lame argument:- the WSOP is not the be all and end all of poker, i play poker for enjoyment, and i presume most of our members do too, and i find the official version just too much to bear. With his view i cant see why we shud ever play any other game, or format that does not carry a bracelet… However, i’m a man of reson, so i’ve come to see what an experienced director thinks of the quandry

Misc Re: Split Pots, Hi-low, Announcers, Antes Heads Up, Bet Size Counts

Hello,

May I have your advices on thoses points?

1-     Seven cards stud Hi-Lo / Three players left at the showdown / Pot of 27 / Player A wins the high / B (button) & C split the low : how do you manage the extra chips? I would say: 13 to A and 14 to the low winners (thus giving the extra chip to B & C who where the worst & better position) ten because now they have 14 chips: it’s splitted into 7 to B and 7 to C … right ?

2-     A is betting 2575 (amount correctly announced & pushed forward) / B raises pushing a pack of chips in the middle in one motion but without speaking / player A asks for the amount / the dealer count 17350 / player A ask the dealer for the difference (the amount needed to add to his previous 2575 to call) : is the dealer obliged to calculate evrything and give the difference (in this exemple 14775 pffooo!) ?

3-     When a tournament with antes arrives to the very last two players: did you saw tournaments not using the antes anymore (I saw that & was surprised!) ?

4-  Is there allways somebody (the TD?) commenting with a microphone all the final table hands in the main events (or only the main hands or only soflty not to disturb the players?) ?

TY
